American Giants does not own the item and is acting solely as a marketing and sale facilitator. American Giants does not purchase the item from the seller, take title to it, or collect or hold the buyer’s purchase funds. Below are the terms for the sale as well as historical info!

All offers are subject to the seller’s acceptance. Submission of the highest offer does not guarantee purchase of the item, and the seller reserves the right to accept or reject any offer. Until the seller and buyer complete their transaction, American Giants cannot guarantee that a sale will be completed. Offers will be submitted through American Giants and the current high offer will be displayed publicly using the prospective buyer’s chosen alias or user handle.

American Giants will make reasonable efforts to post qualifying offers promptly; however, posting may take anywhere from several minutes to as long hours in some circumstances, except on the final day. If an offer is submitted but does not appear, another qualifying offer may already have been received. The online offer listing should not be considered an instantaneous or guaranteed record of submissions. All offers should be submitted in good faith by individuals or entities genuinely prepared to purchase the item at the amount offered. American Giants may request confirmation of an offer or additional contact information before recognizing an offer. HISTORY – This original International Fiberglass Muffler Man started life as a Phillips 66 Cowboy in Savannah, Georgia, where he stood at a muffler shop on Abercorn Extension near the mall during the 1960s. In 1978, Al Dennis purchased the giant with plans to install him at his All American Carwash on John C. Calhoun Drive in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The giant was hauled from Savannah to the car wash, where he remained for approximately two years on his back before being moved to Dennis family property near Cameron, South Carolina. There he remained in storage for decades. In 2015, the giant was sold again, leaving the property on September 26 and eventually making his way to Grove, Oklahoma. American Giants helped sell him once more in July 2024. The outline of his original Phillips 66 shield can still be seen on his chest, a remarkable surviving reminder of his early connection to the oil industry. It is also believed that the metal sign bar he holds today is the same one he held during his years in Savannah.

INFO – Statue is roughly 20ft tall with an estimated weight of 150 pounds (could be more). Statue is complete but has a hole in his back and the cowboy hat is long gone. American Giants can be contacted if you wish to purchase a cowboy hat which would be a separate sale from this one. Statue is located near Yukon, OK

Additional Terms Please Read – American Giants reserves the right to establish, modify, or clarify reasonable procedures during the offer period when necessary for the orderly and fair operation of the sale. This may include establishing or changing minimum offer increments, extending the offer period, correcting errors, addressing technical problems or delays, rejecting duplicate or invalid offers, temporarily pausing submissions, or making other reasonable procedural adjustments.

When practical, material changes will be communicated to participating prospective buyers. Continued participation after notice of a procedural change constitutes acceptance of the revised procedure. At the conclusion of the offer period, the seller retains the right to accept or reject any offer. The highest submitted offer does not automatically create a sale or obligate the seller to transfer the item. Once the seller accepts an offer, American Giants will connect the accepted prospective buyer directly with the seller.

For this particular sale, once an offer has been accepted by the seller, the buyer must provide full payment directly to the seller in immediately available funds within 48 hours following the seller’s acceptance of the offer. American Giants does not collect, receive, process, or hold the purchase funds and does not provide escrow services. The Muffler Man is currently located in Yukon, Oklahoma. The buyer must completely pick up and remove the item from its current location within 14 calendar days following the seller’s acceptance of the buyer’s offer. The buyer is responsible for all arrangements and costs associated with dismantling, rigging, loading, equipment, labor, transportation, insurance, and removal of the item. If the item has not been completely removed within the 14-day period, the seller may assess a storage charge of $100 per calendar day beginning on the 15th day. The payment deadline, removal deadline, storage charges, or other requirements established by the seller may be modified, extended, or waived only by the seller. American Giants has no authority or obligation to modify, extend, waive, administer, or enforce these requirements on behalf of either party.

Except for the payment and removal requirements expressly stated above, once American Giants connects the accepted prospective buyer with the seller, all further negotiations and arrangements are solely between the buyer and seller. This includes, but is not limited to, payment method and documentation, taxes, pickup, transportation, removal, scheduling, access to the property, insurance, condition questions, additional agreements, and any modifications to the transaction. American Giants does not guarantee that either party will ultimately complete the transaction.

American Giants is not responsible for the failure of either party to complete the transaction or for losses, expenses, travel costs, transportation arrangements, lost opportunities, or other consequences resulting from a transaction that is delayed, modified, disputed, or not completed. American Giants does not provide escrow services, collect or hold the purchase price, guarantee payment, guarantee delivery, guarantee legal ownership or title, or guarantee the performance of either the buyer or seller. American Giants is not responsible for mediating, negotiating, settling, or resolving disagreements between the buyer and seller after the parties have been connected. Any misunderstanding, dispute, payment issue, refund request, condition dispute, transportation issue, failure to perform, or other disagreement arising from the transaction must be addressed directly between the buyer and seller.

Information concerning the item, including ownership, provenance, history, age, condition, dimensions, weight, completeness, authenticity, prior use, and other details, may be based in whole or in part upon information supplied by the seller, previous owners, historical sources, photographs, research, or observations made by American Giants. Although reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate information, American Giants does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of this information. Prospective buyers are encouraged to conduct whatever inspection, research, verification, or due diligence they consider necessary before submitting an offer.

By submitting an offer, the prospective buyer acknowledges that they have reviewed these terms and agrees to participate in the offer process subject to these procedures and conditions.
