IMG_20120709_125456#5188 – $18,000 Pecos Bill Muffler Man

Screen Shot 2018-11-13 at 11.40.46 PMThis is an original Paul Bunyan Muffler Man that was heavily modified at some point.  His chaps, vest, beard, and large droopy hat are unique. He was one of the Muffler Men auctioned off in 1987 at the Danbury Fair and has stood here at Magic Forest since that time. The picture above shows him in 2012 before his hat drooped down below his face. He needs a bit of TLC or a new hat in order to see his face.

5189b#5189 – Half Wit Muffler Man (SOLD)

This half wit or Snerd as they were called in the International Fiberglass catalog, is still in really good condition. He was modified to look like an amish fellow during his time at Danbury Fair and still looks just like he did during that time. He also comes with his original axe and those are very hard to find these days as most were stolen or lost in the 70s and 80s. He was purchased at the Danbury Fair auction in 1987 and moved here to Magic Forest.

5190d#5190 – Paul Bunyan Muffler Man (SOLD)

This Muffler Man is in incredible shape. He is a unique Paul Bunyan in that he is the only one we know of that actually has a removable hat. He comes with his original fiberglass axe and he still has an incredible paint job. He will not need any restoration and is ready to be set up wherever he goes. He was discovered by Magic Forest in the 80s still crated in his original box and had never been used or set up. Apparently he was ordered for a business from International Fiberglass and they simply never got around to setting him up. So he spent half of his life sitting in his crate and still looks amazing today.

5191

#5191 – Large Totem Poll (SOLD)

This piece is actually an incredibly rare piece. Sculpted by the late Michael McCracken for International Fiberglass around 1965 this bull is the only known survivor of a number of bulls like this, made for the Sizzler Restaurant chain. We have seen pictures of the bull in IF advertising and pictures of it being made but never have been able to find any survivors. This one sadly, has been modified into a trash can and no longer has his legs but it is an original Sizzler Bull. It was modified to be a trash can while at the Danbury Fair.

5193#5193 – $900 Lion Head Drinking Fountain
