Magic Forest Sale

Last Fall the Magic Forest Amusement Park in Lake George NY, sold a large amount of fiberglass animals and figures, many of them original 1960s International Fiberglass or FAST products that are extremely hard to find and very collectable today. Starting November 14, we will be re listing everything that is still available, as well as new items not yet seen on this site. Some prices are negotiable if bundled with other items. Everything is first come first serve and all items purchased, must be picked up in Lake George, NY or by a third party hauler. Please do not try to contact Magic Forest directly as the owner wishes American Giants to handle the sale of the items. Please contact us at info@usagiants.com for more info, pictures, details and to purchase. Don’t get concerned if you don’t get an immediate  reply, we will answer emails in the order received (normally in the evening). If you are the first to inquire on an item, we will respond to your interest first.  Upon purchase, customers will work directly with Magic Forest on pickup and payment. Cash is accepted and for large items, certified bank check or bank wire transfer.

One of the many nursery rhyme characters made for Magic Forest by MDF in Paducah KY. This one is referred to by the staff at Magic Forest as Bent Over Guy and it wasn’t clear what story he belongs to.

This is a fiberglass well and I am unsure where at Magic Forest it was located exactly. Sold as is.

Magic Forest had two fiberglass River Queen boats, one red and one blue. These are both for sale separately and roughly 5 ft long. Sadly we don’t have a picture of the red boat.

#1216 – $500 Chief Cannibal

The chief of the cannibal people, this is another giant from MDF in Paducah KY.

 

 

 

 

#1217 Black Heifer and Calf – $1,500 

Most of the Magic Forest cow collection is gone except for this black heifer and calf. Sold together as a set. Unsure of where it came from and who made it.

One of a series of 3 cows and 2 calfs that all came from Danbury Fair. This calf is in good shape but has a broken and possibly missing right ear.

This is one of two carnival mirrors owned and used by Magic Forest. They are both for sale although I don’t have a picture of the other one. They are not original carnival mirrors but reproductions. $400 each or $700 for the pair.

Native American figure made from Fiberglass and displayed at Magic Forest. (picture needed).

#1222 – $500 Puma 

This is one of two female lions or pumas that Magic Forest had on display. This one has some damage to its paws and right ear.

 

 

 

 

 

#1223 – Lion Head SOLD

1223 Lion HeadThere were two lion heads like this one and both are made from Silastic and not fiberglass. They both came from the Danbury Fair and one has sold and this one is still available.

This guy came from the Danbury Fair and stood next to the F Troop guys at Magic Forest. The wagon is included in the sale and is apart and ready for transport.

 

 

 

 

5095#1225 – $4,000 Thumper 

This little guy is bigger than he looks and stands almost 5 ft tall. He was never used by Magic Forest and has been kept indoors since he was purchased at the Danbury Fair auction in 1987. The owners say he is a special and rare piece so that is why the price may seem high on him. One of a kind.

These tigers came from the Danbury Fair auction and are in good condition. They are not fiberglass but silastic. (only one tiger is pictured but there are two identical)

 

 

 

#1228 – $1,900 Caveman Family Collection

The caveman family pictured above were all made by MDF in Padukah for Magic Forest, this caveman family is sold as a set. The set includes 3 caveman people as well as the big hunk of meat they are going to eat for supper.

This amazing pair was purchased at the Great Danbury Fair auction. They are still in original paint just as they appeared at the fair and have been kept protected from the weather all these years. They can sell as a pair but also separately for $4,000 each. They are around 15 – 18ft tall and are made of silastic.

These two railroad hounds operate a push cart. They are sold as a set and the car is included. It is a nice old heavy duty railroad cart and is heavy.

This is actually a set of 4 hounds. The 4th is not in this picture and is a hound in a bathtub. They are being sold together as a set only.

#1242 – $250 Fiberglass Tire

These tires were made in halves by International Fiberglass for tire and auto stores. Many were made but these are the only ones we know of to still exist. These were purchased from a location in TN and never displayed at Magic Forest. There is only one half left and it is being sold for $250.

#1243 – $1,300 Snail 

This large fiberglass snail once was on display at the Danbury Fair and was purchased at the second 1989 auction at Bensons. It has some fiberglass damage but overall is in pretty good shape and stands over 6ft tall. Willing to take offers on this one.

This fiberglass boat was originally from Story Town USA and was purchased many years ago by Magic Forest and moved to the Safari section of their park.

There are two crocks left and they are the top one and the bottom one in this picture. Selling for $800 each or $1,500 for the pair.

The Zebra on the far right came from the Danbury Fair and is priced at $1,200 the Zebra just to the left of it (1248)is different and came from another location is priced at $750.

These International Fiberglass Buffalos were all made in the 60s and are pretty big boys. Two of them are the same and one is slightly different as you can see in the picture here. If you purchase the set of three it is $3,750 for the set. Please let us know if you want more pictures.

This International Fiberglass or Bob Prewitt horse is in great shape and looks amazing. We have more pictures on him if needed and can also get the history if interested. His ear has been restored.

 

 

#1253 – $5,500 Castle

5184aThis large castle came from a golf course in Sodus Point, NY and has been dissembled for transportation. Sold earlier this year but buyer didn’t have room on trailer for it so it is up for sale again.

 

 

 

 

 

5193#1254 – Lion Head Drinking Fountain SOLD

Yet another item from the auction at the Danbury Fair this is a lion head drinking fountain. I believe these were also made by International Fiberglass and a number of these lion heads can still be found across the country.

 

 

 

#1255 – $7,500 Old Lady in the Shoe

This is a large fiberglass shoe house that once stood at the Danbury Fair. It was purchased at the 1987 auction along with 5 children and the old lady and they come with it. I did not get an exact measurement but this is a large structure. Probably close to 20ft high.

#1256 #1257 – $1,200 Lion Trash Can Head

This original International Fiberglass trash can lion head is an extra from Danbury fair and not a part of the two sets that Magic Forest owns. It is one of two trash can heads left at Magic Forest.  Both are for sale for $1,200 each. Very cool and collectible pieces!

5213a#1259 –  Large Santa Statue SOLD

This Santa is in great shape and stands out front near the Uncle Sam statue. He was purchased by Magic Forest at a used car lot in Keene, NH back in the 90s. We don’t have an exact hight on him but I would guess he is between 15 and 20 ft tall. We are also not sure who made this version of the Santa. A few other identical models are scattered across the country.

These prehistoric multi eyed birds are certainly one of a kind and unique. There are 2 of them left and they  came from Time Town in Bolton Landing, NY. They are $500 each or 900 for both. They are large birds and we can get dimensions upon request.

This large standing bear has glass eyes and is about 7ft tall.

There are actually two of these large fiberglass elks. They both came from the Danbury Fair and we are not exactly sure who made them. One sold and this one is left.

Magic Forest picked this up at the Danbury Fair in the late 80s at the auction, he is a large camel at over 7ft or 8ft heigh. All fiberglass and in good shape.
