HISTORY  This original 14ft Bunyan was made by International Fiberglass in Venice, CA. A plate on his leg indicates he was made by IF and has a date of 1963 although it is possible he was made the following year. This particular giant was built for the Implement Specialty Co in St Louis. He also was used to advertise Lombard Chain saws in 1966 and had the name “Luke Lombard” on his shirt along with the “Implement Specialty Co” logo. It is unknown what year he left St Louis but by the 1980s he was in Oak Grove, KY spending time at the Jolly Green Giant pawn shop as well as Pistol Petes Pawn. In the 1990s he was purchased by a couple from Mortons Gap, KY and moved to their donkey pasture. By this point in time he was missing both his arms and head. In 2013 American Giants because restoration on the giant and it was their first restoration that propelled them into that buisness. Arms and a head were made for the giant and he was restored and returned to the donkey pasture in Oct 2015. For 10 years he has stood there after his restoration and still is in remarkable condition. His owners are ready to find him a new home.
